About Us

Somerset Yarn Dyeing Co. was founded in 2024 by experienced and passionate yarn dyer, Anthony Green. Anthony has over twenty years experience in yarn dyeing and working with many of the UK's textile manufacturers, who he wants to ensure are supported with a reliable and quality yarn dyeing service for many years to come.

Our Services

Shade Matching

We have a designated Laboratory, fitted with the latest X-RITE Spectrophotometer and DATA COLOR Ahiba IR, giving us the tools to create new recipes quickly.

Yarn Dyeing

We dye all fibres, including Wool, Cotton, Linen, Silk, Viscose and Alpaca.

We have eight dye vats, ranging from 3kg up to 200kg.

Soft and Hard Winding

We have two new winders, that produce quality soft wound dye packs, and hard rewound cones.

Our winders are fitting with splicers, waxing facilities and measured length capabilities.

Radio Frequency Drying

Our Radio Frequency Drier allows us to dry all yarns with consistency and control.
